Sophia Psarra

Sophia Psarra is Reader at the Bartlett (UCL), and Director of the MSc program Spatial Design Architecture Cities (SDAC). She was previously Associate Professor at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan (2005–2010), and Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University (1997–2004). Her design and research activities include creative installations, design projects, and publications like Architecture and Narrative: The Formation of Space and Cultural Meaning (Routledge, 2009). She has collaborated with leading cultural institutions on layout design, exhibition narratives, and visitors’ experience, including The Museum of Modern Art in New York and The Natural History Museum in London. As a practicing architect, Psarra has won first prizes at EUROPAN and other international architectural competitions. Her work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Centre George Pompidou, NAI Rotterdam, and in London, Berlin, Milan, and Athens.
